Introduction
What is YouTubeR
YouTubeR Instant Playlist Site Creator is a Windows software based and is very simple to use. Review the questions, fill in desired info, click finish and playlist page is saved to your hard drive. NO CODING!
Each playlist page takes no more than few minutes to create. You can save projects for later editing or load them back into software to speed up new sites.
Basically you enter your company name, information about what the playlist is all about. Then provide your YouTube playlist number, YouTube V3 API key, couple of links (your choice), press finish and page is saved on your hard drive.
Once you have your page completed, open up your FTP software and upload. There are NO more steps involved, that is it!
If you have not already done so, install the software and let’s get started.
Getting Started
Setting Up Your First YouTube V3 API Key
The very first thing I recommend you do is get your YouTube V3 API key.
Unfortunately, we can no longer use advanced YouTube functions without first “communicating” with Google. The old V2 was possible but like every other profitable Company, they too must make a buck or at least control access to their platform…
The process is fairly straight forward. If you have never obtained an API key it can be intimidating. I will attempt to walk you through each step.
If you have mastered the process, skip on to next section but you MUST have your API key ready.
Ready? Let’s do it!
If you wish to read and learn all about the V3 data API, go here. Not saying you really need to learn all about it now but, it may be worthy reading for some.
This appears like a lot of steps and only so because I have attempted to walk you through each one in-depth. Once you create one API key by following my instructions future ones created will be a breeze and only take a minute.
If you are signed in the projects area should load right up and you will see a screen similar to this:
Enter your project name. I normally name mine similar to name of product using
in as it makes things easier later on. For this tutorial I will be using: YTPlayList2 Click the blue “Create Project” button.
For some strange reason, they feel we must again enter the project name. You can see the image below is once again asking for project name.
I enter YTPlayList2 again…
For my purposes, I always choose US data center in the advanced options. Think the other option is EU data center.
Once you click the blue “Create” button have seen it take a few seconds to 30 seconds before next screen appears:
Step 2: Enable the YouTube Data API V3 access.
Then this screen appears:
Click the blue “Enable API” button.
You will need to do the above steps for each new project NOT each new playlist page you create. If you expect very high traffic it is advised to create new projects as there is a daily limit of hits/calls to the API.
Step 3: Now we are ready to setup the YouTube API key:
- Click “API & auth” to expand
- Click “Credentials”
- Click blue “Create new key”
